Philip and I have been married for 43 years now. We've grown up and older together and most of those years have been filled with simple fun, hard work, and love of family. We have two sons and daughters-in-law, Phil & Brig and Brad & Stephanie. The loves of our lives now are the grandchildren, Zeke (18), Noah (14), Lillian (10), and Alice (5). Philip is known as "Peach" to the grandkids and most everyone else now. Peach seems to fit him well with his slick, shiny noggin. Philip retired from BellSouth/AT&T after over 30 years. In 2003, he had open-heart surgery and a quadruple by-pass. In my mind he has never been the same. Others didn't necessarily notice the change, but I did. I figured it would take at least a year to get over such a brutal surgery, but he never seemed to come back fully. He continued to work as a consultant, and I'm sure he did a great job as he was an expert in his field. But, I knew that something just was not quite right. To deal with it, I would just say, "he's nqr." It took until 2007 to get a diagnosis of Lewy Body Dementia. That was a journey that I will talk about later.
